It looks like Ben Askrew has been cut.
Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Smith scores with a hook to the body. Askrew takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Smith throws a sloppy head kick

and Askrew counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Askrew.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Smith holds on and takes a little breather.

Askrew drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smith dives on top into guard.
