Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Liam Hayword (ranked 4436 p4p, 4126 weight class) and Teem Reem (ranked 0 p4p, 502 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liam Hayword!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Teem Reem!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reem misses with a body kick.
Nice body kick from Hayword.
Hayword throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Reem throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hayword was covering up waiting for the punch and Reem finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Reem with a flurry of punches that miss.
Reem gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Reem shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hayword as he avoids it easily.
Reem on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Hayword thumps Reem with a low kick.
Hayword thuds his shin into the meat of Reem's side.
Reem pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Reem throws a nice looking combination but Hayword bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hayword throws a push kick but Reem slaps the foot to one side.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hayword feints and then cracks Reem's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Reem down.

Reem lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Hayword throws a body shot but no joy.
Hayword misses with a body shot.
Hayword showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Reem.

Oooooh!!! Reem has knocked Hayword down with a huge combo! Reem steps away and waves a wobbly Hayword back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Liam Hayword has been cut.
Hayword scores with a head kick. Reem tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hayword.
Liam Hayword is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reem fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Hayword to the ground. Reem is now in Hayword's guard.

Reem throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hayword tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reem is in Hayword's guard.

A nice leg kick from Hayword, right into the meat of the thigh.
An inside leg kick lands from Hayword.
Hayword fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Reem has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hayword bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Reem tries to clinch up but Hayword circles away and keeps his distance.

Reem shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hayword is trying to defend but Reem finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Reem slips a nice elbow through Hayword's hands, connecting with Hayword's forehead.
Well, if Reem is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Reem moves in looking to clinch but Hayword pushes him off.
Reem takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Hayword tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Hayword fakes the leg kick and cracks Reem in the body.
That kick from Hayword tenderised Reem's leg. Reem is trying to keep his angry face on.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Reem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hayword as he jumps to the side.
Liam Hayword has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Teem Reem.

Reem is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Reem throws a series of punches but Hayword avoids them all with ease.
Reem connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Reem misses with a few strikes there.

Reem blocks a low kick nicely.
Hayword tries a low kick but Reem avoids it.
Reem shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Hayword's guard.

Hayword knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Reem on the ground.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Reem accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Reem stands up over Hayword, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Reem throws a strike aimed at the side of Hayword's head but Hayword avoids it well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reem wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hayword, who protects the arm well.

Reem is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hayword is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Reem stands up.
Reem closes the distance and clinches up with Hayword, looking for a takedown. Reem pushes Hayword against the cage but Hayword circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Reem has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hayword wants to improve his position but Reem is controlling well.

Reem dives in for a single leg takedown but Hayword sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Reem takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Hayword goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Reem's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Hayword throws a solid leg kick but Reem takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Hayword.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hayword lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Reem has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Reem and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Reem now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Hayword throws the kick towards the body but Reem avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reem closes the distance and clinches.
Reem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hayword is looking to land body kicks.
Reem scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reem lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Hayword down.
Reem tries to score with some ground and pound. Hayword controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Hayword tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Reem wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Liam Hayword is winning the standup battle so far.
Hayword throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reem looks to land a combination. Hayword sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Hayword is rocked!
It's a brutal combination of punches from Reem! Hayword is backing up but he can't get away as Reem lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Hayword and ends the fight. Great knockout.
