PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Patrick Turgeon (ranked 1164 p4p, 1433 weight class) and Pete Tyler (ranked 159 p4p, 195 weight class). Pete Tyler told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

It looks like Pete Tyler has been cut.
Turgeon moves out of range as Tyler strikes.
Tyler throws a lazy uppercut
and Tyler takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Turgeon lands with a hook. Tyler tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Turgeon drops his hands momentarily and Tyler takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Turgeon was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

and Tyler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Tyler uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Turgeon has time to react.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pete Tyler's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Tyler drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Turgeon right on the button. Turgeon goes down! Tyler follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Tyler gets the win via TKO!
