The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman blocks a head kick by Kimura.
Kimura misses with a looping left.
Zimmerman looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kimura misses with a wild body shot.
Kimura jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Kimura misses with a hook.
Zimmerman attempts a counter takedown but Kimura avoids it well and moves away.
Zimmerman blocks the body kick.
Kimura misses the jab.
Zimmerman wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
That kick from Kimura tenderised Zimmerman's leg. Zimmerman is trying to keep his angry face on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Zimmerman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kimura tries to avoid it but Zimmerman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kimura to the ground. Kimura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kimura misses with a left hand
and Zimmerman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Zimmerman thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Kimura is trying to stand.
Zimmerman is trying for a kimura here. Kimura looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Zimmerman wins by kimura!
