Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideki Nakamura (ranked 3106 p4p, 3286 weight class) and Jimmy Navarro (ranked 377 p4p, 393 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hideki Nakamura!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Navarro!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Nakamura lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Navarro, as that shot connected.
Nakamura shoots in looking for a takedown. Navarro tries to sprawl out of it but Nakamura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Navarro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hideki Nakamura.
