The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Tfrrdxxc changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Imaeda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Tfrrdxxc (4) vs (0) Imaeda Imaeda manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Imaeda works his way to full guard. Good work. Imaeda has his foot on Tfrrdxxc's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tfrrdxxc works his way back into a safe position though. Imaeda has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Imaeda looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Imaeda is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Imaeda has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gym Goroshi London. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Imaeda looking for a sweep. Not yet Imaeda, not yet. Imaeda keeping full guard, as Tfrrdxxc tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tfrrdxxc drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tfrrdxxc jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Imaeda is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tfrrdxxc rolls with it to try and escape but Imaeda cranks on the arm and Tfrrdxxc is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Ryoko Imaeda! |
