The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Mason closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Imaeda did well to prevent Mason getting side control. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Mason (2) vs (0) Imaeda
Mason is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Imaeda doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Mason.
Mason is thwarting Imaeda's attempts to control the position.
Imaeda tries to roll over but Mason keeps him under control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Imaeda is trying to get back to full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Imaeda is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Imaeda is looking to control Mason's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Imaeda avoid being mounted?
Mason has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Imaeda defend it? Mason steps over the head and cranks it - Imaeda is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mason!
