Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vern Vurris (ranked 786 p4p, 3111 weight class) and Tupa Halloo (ranked 112 p4p, 363 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vern Vurris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tupa Halloo!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vurris shoots in but Halloo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Halloo misses with a takedown
letting Vurris counter with a right hand.

Vurris moves into range and clinches up with Halloo.
Halloo has a couple of punches blocked by Vurris.
Vurris tries to break the clinch but Halloo is controlling the position.

Vurris has picked Halloo up - he's going for a ride! Vurris dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Vurris wants to free his trapped foot but Halloo is holding on for dear life with his legs.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Halloo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vurris tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Halloo is in Vurris's guard.

Tupa Halloo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Halloo. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Halloo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
