The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cassidy thumps Della Maddalena with a low kick.
Cassidy throws a body kick that misses
and Della Maddalena counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cassidy drops his hands momentarily and Della Maddalena takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Cassidy will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Della Maddalena takes a kick to the side of the head.
Della Maddalena swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cassidy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Stephon Cassidy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cassidy throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Della Maddalena counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cassidy throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Cassidy counters with a right hand to the body.
Cassidy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

As Cassidy looks to move away, Della Maddalena throws a big counter combo but Cassidy just gets out of the way.

The fighters circle momentarily. Cassidy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Cassidy throws a sloppy head kick and Della Maddalena moves out of range easily.
Della Maddalena shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Cassidy takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Della Maddalena sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Cassidy bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
