Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ratz Nimnitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pentti Albert! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nimnitz tries to clinch there but Albert circles away.
Nimnitz tries to clinch up but Albert circles away and keeps his distance. Albert swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Nimnitz wants to clinch. Albert's coach down at The Goya - 🥊 MMA Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Albert's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Albert misses with a looping left. Nimnitz is looking to clinch. Nimnitz on the wrong end of a nice jab. Nimnitz misses with an uppercut. Nice cross by Albert.
It looks like Ratz Nimnitz has been cut. Nimnitz darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Pentti Albert has been cut. Nimnitz moves out of range as Albert strikes. Nimnitz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Albert paws at him with a jab and circles away. Albert throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Albert is looking to clinch but Nimnitz is avoiding it.
Nice shot by Nimnitz. Nimnitz lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Albert falls backwards - clearly groggy! Nimnitz dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ratz Nimnitz! A less than humble Ratz Nimnitz misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
