Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Starned throws a right hand that Ellila ducks under and follows up with a left that Ellila also avoids with ease.
Starned throws a combination. Ellila tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Ellila throws a right and a left that Starned avoids nicely.
Starned lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Ellila darts in and clinches Starned up against the cage.
Ellila goes for a takedown in the clinch but Starned prevents it.
Starned tries to land a knee to the head but Ellila blocks with his arms.
Starned throws a head punch that misses.

Ellila is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Starned can't fight it off and eventually Ellila manages to take the fight to the floor. Starned looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ellila prevents Starned from getting back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jankka Ellila dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ellila shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Ellila showed some decent athleticism there.

Starned's corner calls for a 1-2. Starned obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Starned! Ellila is out on his feet! Starned rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Ellila is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Ellila is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
