The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mctesty shoots and misses
and Atkinson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Atkinson tries to clinch but Mctesty is having none of it.
Mctesty takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Atkinson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Mctesty is in close to Atkinson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Mctesty drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Mctesty jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Mctesty is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mctesty advances to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mctesty in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Atkinson tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mctesty!
