Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lou Valentine (ranked 1075 p4p, 1893 weight class) and Shock Linewood (ranked 145 p4p, 237 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 25 - 1, fighting out of London, Shock Linewood!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Valentine gets tackled into the cage by Linewood. Linewood maintains the clinch.
Valentine lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Linewood backwards.
Valentine blocks an uppercut.
Valentine lands a right hand that snaps the head of Linewood backwards.
Linewood misses with a hook from the clinch.
Valentine tries to work over Linewood's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
We've been informed that Linewood has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Valentine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Linewood manages to get himself to full guard.

Valentine content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Linewood has locked up a guillotine! Linewood's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Valentine is holding on here and Linewood must be using up a lot of energy. Valentine has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Linewood gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
