The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monu thows a leg kick but Smith checks it
and Smith counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Sai Monu has been cut.
Smith circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smith looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Smith lands with a shot to the body.
Monu throws a series of punches but Smith avoids them all with ease.
Monu wants to clinch
and Smith counters with a stiff right hand.
Monu takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Smith scores with the left hand. Monu knows he should have avoided that one.
Smith fails to land with a series of punches.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Monu. Monu circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.

Smith cracks Monu with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Monu looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Smith finish him?

Smith is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Monu is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Smith cracks Monu with a hook to the temple - Monu is on wobbly legs here! Smith swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Monu falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Smith wins by TKO!
