Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Billy Dee (ranked 4411 p4p, 24466 weight class) and Primoz Benko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Primoz Benko was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Dee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Primoz Benko!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benko has his takedown stuffed
and Dee counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Benko throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dee sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Benko throws a hook to the side of Dee's head but Dee sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dee has taken the fight to the clinch.
Dee goes for a takedown in the clinch but Benko prevents it.
Dee is trying to pull guard but Benko has him pressed against the cage.
Benko stops a takedown attempt from Dee.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Billy Dee. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Benko wants the takedown. Dee is fighting it off but Benko persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dee's guard against the cage.
Benko won't allow Dee to sweep him here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Benko throws a strike but Dee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Benko wants to sweep but no luck.
Dee throws a big right hand that misses.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dee working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Benko is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Dee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Benko really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dee passes Benko's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dee passes to full mount!
Dee with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Benko tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Dee stands up from mount. Strange move.

Dee slaps away a takedown attempt from Benko, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Primoz Benko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Benko is trying to control but can't.
Benko looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Benko tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Dee prevents Benko from improving his position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Benko can do anything to dispel that myth.
Benko wants to sweep but Dee has passed to side control!
Benko is looking for a sweep.
Benko reaches up around Dee's neck trying to control. But Dee takes advantage instantly and he's locked on an arm triangle! Big trouble for Benko! Oh that looks nasty! A human being's head is not meant to turn that color! Benko is out! He's gone limp! The ref steps in to break the fighters up and Dee celebrates the victory with the fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Billy Dee!
