Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dean (ranked 1447 p4p, 1770 weight class) and Abdul Kaloev (ranked 215 p4p, 267 weight class). Abdul Kaloev is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 14 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdul Kaloev! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kaloev moves away from the strike by Dean. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kaloev has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kaloev moves out of range as Dean strikes. We've been told by Dean's head coaches at New York Public Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Kaloev on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Dean bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Dean pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Dean scores with a decent looking hook. Dean lands a jab. Kaloev misses with a wild body shot. Dean scores with a sloppy right hand. Kaloev should have avoided that one. Kaloev misses with a double jab.
Dean tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kaloev was well out of range. Poor timing from Dean. Dean misses with a combination
so Kaloev counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kaloev looking to pass the guard. Dean keeping moving, preventing Kaloev from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kaloev looking to pass the guard. Kaloev prevents Dean from getting back to his feet. Kaloev wants to pass the guard but Dean is keeping the position. Dean will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kaloev stands and throws Dean's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kaloev tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kaloev trying to control the action but Dean is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Kaloev is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dean is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kaloev tries to move into full mount but can't pass Dean's legs. Kaloev trying to control the action but Dean is working from the bottom. The ground and pound from Kaloev seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kaloev is looking to take a break and control but Dean is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Dean stops Kaloev from passing to mount. Dean wants to get back to his feet. Kaloev wants to control but Dean is keeping him busy. Dean stops Kaloev from passing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dean wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kaloev is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Dean has escaped the position, nice work there. Kaloev is trying to get an arm triangle but Dean is defending well. Kaloev tries to move to mount but Dean blocks the move with his legs. Kaloev passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Dean! Dean wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kaloev looking to finish with strikes here!
Kaloev trying to control but Dean is having none of it. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Abdul Kaloev will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Dean misses with a few strikes there.
Dean uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kaloev has time to react. Dean lands a slapping body shot.

and Kaloev counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Dean manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Kaloev keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kaloev is looking for a takedown. Dean manages to break the clinch.
Dean thows a left - swing and a miss! Dean is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kaloev. Kaloev takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Dean moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Dean cracks Kaloev with a right hand to the side of the head. Dean is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Dean scores with a jab. Kaloev takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dean jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dean misses with a hook. Kaloev doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Dean is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Dean lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Kaloev seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Dean shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Kaloev is backing up but Dean catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Kaloev covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Dean Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Dean! Our winner, Brian Dean, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
