Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Smith (ranked 23986 p4p, 5791 weight class) and Jeff Winslow (ranked 231 p4p, 183 weight class). Smith kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rush - 2112. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Smith closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Winslow quickly recovers to half guard.

Winslow keeps control of the position for the meantime.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Winslow is refusing to be controlled, as Smith sits in half guard.

Winslow is looking for a sweep. Smith is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Winslow has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Smith shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Smith showed some decent athleticism there.
Winslow is trying to maintain the position but Smith is very close to passing his half guard.
And that's the end of the fight!
