Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harry Benno!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones swings for the body but Benno moves out of range.
Jones lands a slapping body shot.
Jones misses the shot to the body.
Benno pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jones throws a right and a left that Benno avoids nicely.
Benno keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Benno lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Jones backs up against the cage.
Benno walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
It looks like Harry Benno has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Benno wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance.
Benno tries for a takedown but Jones sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Jones swats away the attempt to clinch by Benno.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Benno takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Benno looks gassed!
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Benno moves away.
Jones jabs at Benno's body.
Jones feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Benno crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shawn Jones!
