The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alverez connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Alverez lunges at Steward with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Steward 's hand.
Alverez throws a jab when Steward was well out of range.

Steward darts in and clinches Alverez up against the cage.
Alverez avoids a wild elbow strike from Steward .

Alverez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alverez lands with a nice body punch.
Alverez tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Steward is able to avoid easily.
Steward misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Alverez.
Steward throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Steward takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Steward let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Steward throws out a counter right but Alverez avoids it with no problem.
Alverez lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Alverez gets in close and tags Steward with a short punch that almost sends Steward to the mat! Oh Steward is in big trouble! He turns his back on Alverez, trying to create some distance but Alverez rushes him, striking wildly and Steward goes down! The referee tackles Alverez into the cage to end the fight! Alverez is one violent man!
