Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maverick Syndal (ranked 3550 p4p, 3308 weight class) and Billy Cubbedge (ranked 125 p4p, 114 weight class). Maverick Syndal has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy Cubbedge !
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Syndal misses with a head kick.

Cubbedge working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Syndal doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Syndal manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Syndal got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cubbedge has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Syndal has managed to get both his arms back between Cubbedge 's legs - danger averted.
Cubbedge had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Syndal defends it easily.
Cubbedge has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Syndal is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Cubbedge .

That was a close round but I would say that Maverick Syndal will probably get the nod.

Cubbedge closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Syndal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cubbedge 's waist but Cubbedge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Syndal off to one side.

Billy Cubbedge comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Cubbedge has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
