Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rosca Papelao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Pina (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rosca Papelao could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Eduardo Pina's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rosca Papelao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Pina! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pina tries to clinch but Papelao is having none of it. Papelao takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Papelao drives through and clinches with Pina against the cage.
Papelao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Papelao tries to clinch and Pina counters by clinching up. Papelao throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pina blocks it with crossed arms. Pina is trying to break the clinch but Papelao has him pressed against the cage. Papelao wants to break free but Pina has control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pina circles away from the clinch attempt and Pina holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pina has Papelao pushed against the cage. Papelao unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pina lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Papelao is trying to break free. Papelao's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Pina is looking to break free of the clinch but Papelao has double underhooks. Papelao prevents Pina from breaking the clinch. Pina prevents Papelao from breaking the clinch. Papelao pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Papelao darts in trying to clinch and Pina moves into the clinch. Pina blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Papelao is trying to break the clinch but Pina has him pressed against the cage. Papelao can't break the clinch.

Papelao wants to clinch and Pina counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pina passes to side control. Papelao is not content to let Pina control the position. Papelao tries to escape but Pina is in control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pina tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pina has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pina moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Pina tries for a kimura but Papelao is defending well. Pina happy to just control the position for now. Papelao is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Papelao is looking to get back to his feet here but Pina is keeping cool and he's managed to take Papelao's back. Papelao is breathing heavily. Pina struggling to keep hold of the position.

Pina working for a choke but Papelao reverses nicely into Pina 's guard. Papelao wanted to stand there but Pina had control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eduardo Pina dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Papelao wants to clinch but Pina slips to the side and Pina counters with a nice kick to the body. Pina fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Papelao manages to avoid it. Pina scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Papelao wants to clinch but Pina slips to the side and Pina counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pina. Pina wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Papelao has him pressed against the cage. Papelao is trying to maintain a safe position but Pina gets an underhook and turns Papelao into the cage. Pina wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Papelao wants to clinch but Pina slips to the side and Pina counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Papelao! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pina wants to finish this one by submission but Papelao is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Pina. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pina can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Papelao is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Papelao really wants to buck Pina off and get back to his feet. Pina jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Papelao is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Papelao and Pina has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Pina thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pina is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Papelao knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Pina trying to control the position but Papelao is working away. Papelao is trying to get back to his feet. Pina is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Papelao looks calm but he's in trouble here. Pina gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Papelao is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Pina lets go of the hold and Papelao can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Eduardo Pina!
