Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruno Neves (ranked 2415 p4p, 2287 weight class) and Professor Xe (ranked 291 p4p, 276 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Professor Xe!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neves scores with a takedown into Xe's guard.
Xe is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Neves defends well.
Xe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Neves's guard.
Neves looking for a sweep. Not yet Neves, not yet.
Xe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
It looks like Bruno Neves has been cut.
Neves seems keen to control Xe's posture.
Xe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Neves looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Xe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Neves preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Xe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Neves's head.
Bruno Neves's cut is getting worse.
Xe looking to sit in guard and control but Neves gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Neves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Xe has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Neves has managed to get both his arms back between Xe's legs - danger averted.
Xe is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Neves has his hands clasped together but Xe extends and breaks Neves's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Xe.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Professor Xe!
