Alvarez comes into the arena with Body Snatchers blaring out of the sound system. Christian Alvarez had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Christian Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shizuku Kocho!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez moves into range and clinches up with Kocho.
Alvarez drags the fight down to the ground.
Kocho postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Alvarez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kocho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alvarez swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kocho tries to clinch there but Alvarez circles away.

Alvarez has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Kocho clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Alvarez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Kocho's body.

Alvarez is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Kocho is defending well though. Alvarez let's go of the attempt for now.

Alvarez just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Alvarez is cranking Kocho's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Kocho! He's tightened the choke and Kocho is tapping out!

A very excited looking Christian Alvarez rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
