Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jerry Ferro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Ghandi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jerry Ferro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Ghandi! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ferro works over Ghandi's head and body with a nice combination. No joy there for Ferro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ghandi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Ghandi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ghandi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ghandi distracts Ferro with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Ferro looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ghandi is one step ahead there. Ferro looking for a guillotine here but Ghandi defends easily.
Ghandi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ghandi has managed to get both his arms back between Ferro's legs - danger averted. Ferro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ghandi can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ghandi wants to pass the guard but Ferro is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ghandi is looking to work some ground and pound but Ferro has wrist control. Ghandi trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferro is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ferro wants to sweep but no luck. Ghandi tries to free his leg and advance position but Ferro is retaining full guard. Ferro is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Ferro throws a right hand that Ghandi ducks under and follows up with a left that Ghandi also avoids with ease. Nice uppercut lands for Ferro. That snapped Ghandi's head back.
Ferro throws a series of punches but Ghandi moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ferro misses with a wild combination.
Ferro throws a right and a left that both miss. Ghandi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ferro throws a nice looking combination but Ghandi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ghandi has a takedown stuffed. Ferro takes a swing at Ghandi's ribcage but misses. Ghandi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ferro. Ferro shoots and misses and Ghandi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Ferro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ghandi defends well. Ferro is breathing heavily. Ghandi trying to control but Ferro is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ferro throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Ferro looking to control.
Ghandi must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ferro looking for a sweep. Not yet Ferro, not yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ghandi advances to half guard. Ghandi wants to free his trapped foot but Ferro is holding on for dear life with his legs. Ghandi sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Ferro defending well though. Ghandi wants to pass to mount but Ferro is defending the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ferro throws a series of strikes that have Ghandi backpedaling.
Ferro misses with a few strikes there.
Ferro scores with a sloppy right hand. Ghandi should have avoided that one. Ferro shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ghandi counters with a shoot takedown. Ferro fights it but they end up in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ferro is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Ghandi has his hands clasped together but Ferro extends an breaks Ghandi's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ferro.
