PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sirus Hughes (ranked 2747 p4p, 5510 weight class) and Lee Kim Park (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Devil "Shinedown". The crowd seem to be enjoying Kim Park's choice of entrance music: Hit The Floor. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sirus Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lee Kim Park!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kim Park.
Kim Park throws a lazy right hand but Hughes sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hughes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kim Park is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Hughes has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kim Park is looking to reverse the position.
Kim Park looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kim Park is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hughes off and has taken his back!
Kim Park has the hooks in. Hughes is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hughes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kim Park doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hughes.

Hughes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kim Park is just riding it out for now. Hughes eventually gives up the hold.

Kim Park really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hughes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kim Park is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hughes.

Hughes got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kim Park has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hughes has managed to get both his arms back between Kim Park's legs - danger averted.

Hughes is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kim Park can do to turn this around?

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
