This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Darren Harged! And in the blue corner, fighting out of St Petersburg, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; Alexander Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Harged fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Petrov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Harged shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Petrov but Petrov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Harged clinches up with Petrov and pushes him back against the cage.
Petrov pulls guard.
Petrov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harged can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harged tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Harged has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Harged tries to move to mount but Petrov blocks the move with his legs.
Petrov is looking to regain half guard here but Harged keeps moving and retains side control.
Harged is looking to take a break and control but Petrov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Harged wants to take a breather but Petrov is having none of it.
Harged is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Petrov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Petrov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Petrov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harged. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harged is just content to waste time from the top position. Petrov takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Harged is sitting in close to Petrov's body. Petrov has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Harged is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Harged is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Petrov.
