The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Shart tries to close the distance and clinch but De Herrera swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
De Herrera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shart but Shart pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Shart shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. De Herrera is trying to defend but Shart finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Shart has control of De Herrera's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and De Herrera regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Shart is going oldschool here, as he tries to force De Herrera to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so De Herrera shrugs it off.

De Herrera tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Shart wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
