And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zack Rize!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rize moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A lazy left from Veainu finds it's target.
It looks like Zack Rize has been cut.
A good leg kick by Rize.
A jab from Veainu misses.
Rize misses with a combination
and Veainu counters with a nice right hand that sends Rize toppling to the canvas! Rize scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Veainu finish him?!
Rize is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rize fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Veainu looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Rize misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Veainu counters with a big right hand! Oh Rize is in trouble here! Veainu follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vunipola Veainu!
