Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kulata Bitok!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Barry Bass!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bitok throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bass was covering up waiting for the punch and Bitok finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bass is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bitok defends well.

Bass working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bitok doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Bass is tightening it up a little... Bitok has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bitok reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bitok taps out! Nice BJJ there by Bass!
