Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Smesh Mcgee (ranked 4408 p4p, 24803 weight class) and Charles Orwell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Orwell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Smesh Mcgee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Orwell!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgee is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mcgee tries to clinch but Orwell is having none of it.
Mcgee wants to clinch up but Orwell keeps it at a distance.
Mcgee forces Orwell back against the cage and clinches.
Mcgee has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Orwell clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Orwell is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Mcgee.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcgee is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Orwell is defending well though. Mcgee let's go of the attempt for now.
Orwell tries to roll but Mcgee sticks to his back.

Mcgee is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Orwell defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Orwell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcgee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mcgee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Orwell throws a strike but Mcgee rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Orwell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcgee decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Orwell, up you get!
Orwell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mcgee defends it nicely.

Mcgee tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Orwell paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mcgee dives in for a single leg takedown but Orwell sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Orwell lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Orwell lands with a light punch inside.
Orwell throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Mcgee turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Mcgee manages to end up in side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Orwell stops Mcgee from passing to mount.

That's time! Mcgee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Mcgee drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Smesh Mcgee is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Orwell lands a head kick. Mcgee smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Orwell fails to land with a series of punches.
Orwell tries to keep at a distance but Mcgee has taken the fight into the clinch.
Orwell lands an elbow that stopped Mcgee in his tracks for a moment.
Orwell misses with an elbow strike.
Mcgee drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Orwell gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mcgee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Orwell must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Orwell is looking to advance position but Mcgee has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcgee has hold of Orwell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Orwell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Orwell tries to control Mcgee's body but Mcgee pushes him off. Orwell squirms to his side and now Mcgee has his back!
Mcgee is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Orwell can do to turn this around?

Orwell is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Mcgee is not going to allow Orwell to sit and survive in this position.
Orwell is really stuck here.
Mcgee is cranking Orwell's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Orwell! He's tightened the choke and Orwell is tapping out!
