Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Davon Davis (ranked 837 p4p, 524 weight class) and Hrvoje Palmotic (ranked 113 p4p, 72 weight class). Palmotic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by One day I'll be king. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Davon Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hrvoje Palmotic!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, David Schapiro and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palmotic looks for the body kick but Davis saw that one coming.
Palmotic throws a combination that misses
and Davis counters with a three punch combo that has Palmotic backing up. Palmotic nods at Davis to acknowledge the strikes.
Palmotic throws the kick towards the body but Davis avoids it.
Davis looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Palmotic stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Davon Davis has been cut.

Palmotic lands a nice shot that snaps Davis's head back.

Palmotic lands with a thumping leg kick.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Davis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Palmotic - the referee stops the clock and Davis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Palmotic. Davis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Davis has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Slaughter Houze in the buildup to the fight.

Davis rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Palmotic moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Palmotic.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Palmotic! But no joy.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Palmotic looks to land a left hand but Davis moved out of range nicely.

Nice uppercut lands for Palmotic. That snapped Davis's head back.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Davon Davis's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
