Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Spencer Williams (ranked 2266 p4p, 3497 weight class) and Hatake Kakashi (ranked 229 p4p, 328 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spencer Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Hatake Kakashi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams digs a good hook to Kakashi's body.
Williams fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kakashi.
Williams scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Kakashi doesn't seem bothered though.
Williams lands a jab to Kakashi's midsection.
Williams closes the distance and clinches up with Kakashi, looking for a takedown. Williams pushes Kakashi against the cage but Kakashi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Williams looks to land a combination but Kakashi avoids it well.
Kakashi lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Kakashi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Williams sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Williams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kakashi scores with a nice strike.
Kakashi throws a hook to the side of Williams's head but Williams sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Williams shoots in and gets a takedown into Kakashi's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Kakashi can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Williams controls the pace.
Williams throws a big right hand that misses.
Kakashi controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.
Kakashi told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Williams sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kakashi's guard.
Kakashi makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kakashi.
Williams is working Kakashi over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Williams slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kakashi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Williams got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kakashi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Williams has managed to get both his arms back between Kakashi's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Kakashi is keeping the position.
Williams is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Williams throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Sloppy strikes from Williams. Those never looked like landing.
Kakashi lands with a nice body punch.

Kakashi moves out of range of the strikes.
Williams throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Williams fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kakashi leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Spencer Williams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Kakashi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A punch lands to the side of Williams 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Williams lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Kakashi takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Kakashi is rocked!
Kakashi stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Williams.
Kakashi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Williams shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Williams was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Kakashi takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
A lull in the action here.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A combination from Williams does no damage.
Kakashi throws a hook but Williams avoids it easily.
Williams throws the left hand but Kakashi avoids the punch easily.
Williams misses with a body shot.
Kakashi goes for a double leg but Williams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Williams continues to drive forward.
Williams lands with an overhand left.
Williams ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Williams lands with a hook. Kakashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Kakashi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Williams shoots in for a takedown but Kakashi shows good takedown defense.
Williams misses with a few strikes there.
A low kick from Williams is predictable there
and Kakashi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Williams throws a low kick, looking for Kakashi's leg but Kakashi calmly moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kakashi. Williams does a little dance to reset his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Kakashi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
It looks like Williams has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kakashi! But no joy.
Williams throws a shot from downtown. Kakashi moves away and avoids it.
Kakashi looks to score with a jab to the body but Williams is just out of range.

Williams was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
A nice leg kick from Williams, right into the meat of the thigh.
Williams takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Kakashi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Kakashi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Kakashi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Williams moves away.
Williams is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kakashi can do to turn this around?

Kakashi has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kakashi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Well Williams has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
