Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Durant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Major Pain!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pain closes the distance looking to clinch
and Durant counters with a nice body shot.
Durant scores with a jab.
Pain tries to clinch but Durant moves away
and Durant counters with a slapping leg kick.
Durant lands a really nice looking cross but Pain seems unphased.
Durant lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Durant takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Durant pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pain avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Pain tries to clinch but Durant moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Durant misses the target.
Durant circles away from the clinch attempt
and Durant connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pain looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Durant looks to land a right hand but Pain moved out of range.
Durant lands a head kick that bluckles Pain and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Durant no doubt looking to push for a finish!
Pain is rocked!
Pain takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Pain wants to clinch.
Pain drops his hands momentarily and Durant needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Pain just on the top of the head. Pain drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Pain - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kevin Durant!
A very excited looking Kevin Durant made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
