Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Dragonov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Magnus Drakon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnus Drakon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Magnus Drakon!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dragonov tries to clinch there but Drakon circles away.
Dragonov is looking to clinch but Drakon is avoiding it.
Drakon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dragonov is fending him off so far but Drakon persists. Nope, Dragonov circles away and we're back to standing.
Drakon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Dragonov sprawls well initially but Drakon persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Dragonov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Drakon on the ground.
Drakon wants to free his trapped foot but Dragonov is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dragonov is looking to escape.
Drakon is trying to control the action in half guard but Dragonov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Drakon missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Drakon thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dragonov's head.
Drakon is keen to just control but Dragonov is a slippery customer.

Drakon stops Dragonov from getting back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Dragonov tries to clinch up but Drakon circles away and keeps his distance.
Drakon swats away the attempt to clinch by Dragonov.
Dragonov doesn't manage to clinch there - Drakon circles away.
Dragonov tries to keep at a distance but Drakon has taken the fight into the clinch.
Dragonov tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Dragonov with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
It looks like Magnus Drakon has been cut.
Drakon jumps into guard, dragging Dragonov to the mat.
Drakon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dragonov won't allow Drakon to sweep him here.
Drakon is trying to control the position but Dragonov postures up.
Dragonov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Drakon is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drakon not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Drakon looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Drakon working for a triangle but Dragonov defends it easily.
Dragonov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Drakon has his foot on Dragonov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Dragonov works his way back into a safe position though.
Drakon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Drakon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dragonov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Drakon looks gassed!
Dragonov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Dragonov trying to stand up but can't free himself from Drakon's guard.

The cut man is working on Magnus Drakon's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Dragonov tries to clinch but Drakon moves away
and Drakon counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Drakon wants to control from the top but Dragonov keeps moving.
Dragonov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Drakon trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Drakon trying to control the position from guard on top but Dragonov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Drakon prevents Dragonov from getting back to his feet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Drakon. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Drakon tries to free his leg and advance position but Dragonov is retaining full guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dragonov lands a damaging elbow.
Drakon is breathing heavily.
Drakon is trying to drag Dragonov to the mat but Dragonov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Dragonov lands an elbow that stopped Drakon in his tracks for a moment.
Drakon has Dragonov pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dragonov manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Dragonov creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Drakon's defenses.
That has opened up Magnus Drakon's cut even more.
Dragonov lands an elbow inside.
The cut above Magnus Drakon's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Magnus Drakon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
