Smith comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rush - 2112 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Mike Smith acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith lands a jab to the nose.
Smith misses with the combination.
OConnor showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed OConnor momentarily.
Smith throws a jab but it's blocked by OConnor.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith swings widly with a right hand
and OConnor counters by moving into the clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Smith.
Smith doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
OConnor misses with an elbow over the top.
Smith is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. OConnor can't fight it off and eventually Smith manages to take the fight to the floor. OConnor looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith is sitting in close to OConnor's body. OConnor has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Smith is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Smith is tapping! That was a very nice submission by OConnor.
