Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov (ranked 3579 p4p, 3705 weight class) and Tsuyoi Kakuto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Khabib Nurmagomedov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tsuyoi Kakuto!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Darius Henderson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakuto looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nurmagomedov is trying to escape back to his feet but Kakuto uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Kakuto has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Nurmagomedov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kakuto unleashes a big counter combination but Nurmagomedov bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Kakuto looking to score a takedown here. Nurmagomedov is defending well but Kakuto drives through and ends up in Nurmagomedov's guard.
Kakuto decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Nurmagomedov, up you get!

Kakuto feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kakuto's coach down at Canucks Combat Club was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kakuto's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kakuto tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nurmagomedov swivels and escapes.
Kakuto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nurmagomedov as he jumps to the side.

Kakuto uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Nurmagomedov.
Khabib Nurmagomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kakuto shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Kakuto decides to stand and escape the position.
Kakuto shoots in for a double leg but Nurmagomedov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kakuto tries for a takedown but Nurmagomedov sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Nurmagomedov connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Kakuto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Nurmagomedov is looking to get back to his feet here but Kakuto is keeping cool and he's managed to take Nurmagomedov's back.
Nurmagomedov is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nurmagomedov wants to get back to his feet. He's half way up but Kakuto drags him back down with a jolt, managing to get his forearm deep under Nurmagomedov 's chin! Nurmagomedov is in real trouble! His face is turning bright red and he's forced to tap! This one is all over!
