The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pike shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mies defends it nicely.
Pike tries for a takedown but Mies circles away easily
letting Mies counter with a right hand.

The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Mies lands with a short head shot on the inside.

Mies lands a hook that snaps the head of Pike backwards.
Pike tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mies just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mies gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pike regains guard.

Pike can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mies controls the pace.

Pike stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mies swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mies has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Pike is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Mies throws a punch but it's blocked by Pike.

Pike has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mies is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Mies unleashes a big counter combination but Pike bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Mies leaves Pike with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Mies throws out a leg kick but Pike moves out of range and Mies only half commits.

The crowd cheers as Mies lands an impressive looking overhand right. Pike doesn't seem phased though.
Mies stuns Pike with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mies closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Pike prevents Mies from breaking the clinch.
Mies works on Pike's body with a couple of short punches.
A frustrated look appears on Mies's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Ihme Mies showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

It looks like Ihme Mies has been cut.

Mies is pushing Pike up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Pike jumps guard but Mies stands there with Pike around his waist. Pike gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pike tries to pull guard but Mies holds him up against the cage and eventually Pike drops back down to his feet.

Mies slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Well Mies has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
