The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Bolt leaves Takeda with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Takeda wants to improve his position but Bolt is controlling well.

Bolt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Takeda does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
