And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 1 losses; William Smyth!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Smyth bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Drago (0) vs (4) Smyth
Smyth tries for a kimura but Drago is defending well.
Smyth is trying to get an arm triangle but Drago is defending well.
Smyth tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Drago regains half guard.
Drago makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Drago.
Drago is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smyth is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smyth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Drago has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Smyth has managed to get both his arms back between Drago's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smyth slips nicely into half guard.
Smyth is pressing down on Drago's thigh, looking to free his foot. Drago is holding on for now.
Smyth looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smyth is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Drago is just riding it out for now. Smyth eventually gives up the hold.
Smyth tries to pass to full mount but Drago defends it.
Smyth is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Drago has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Smyth. Oh but Drago has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Smyth goes limp - he's gone! Drago jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
