And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 2 losses; Dionisio De Herrera! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Chad Campbell and Reed Andrews.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. De Herrera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gracie is fending him off so far but De Herrera persists. Nope, Gracie circles away and we're back to standing. Gracie half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. De Herrera misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gracie has managed to clinch.
De Herrera tries for a takedown. No joy.
Darius Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dionisio De Herrera. De Herrera goes for a takedown attempt but Gracie pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
De Herrera gets caught napping as Gracie dives in and scores a takedown. De Herrera manages to retain guard. De Herrera controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. Gracie passes into half guard. De Herrera wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.

De Herrera wants to hold on but Gracie pushes him away. De Herrera tries to get back to half guard but can't. Gracie takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. De Herrera manages to regain half guard. Good work. De Herrera wants to control but Gracie is keeping busy and won't allow it. Gracie seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. De Herrera is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
