The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devro misses with a leg kick
and Nato counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Brad Devro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Devro tries to clinch but Nato moves out of range.
Devro wants to clinch.
Devro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Nato manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Nato tests Devro's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Devro throws a leg kick but Nato sees it coming and moves out of range.
Devro throws a head kick that misses
and Nato connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Devro rushes Nato and presses him up against the cage.
Devro with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nato's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nato keeps the fight on the outside.
Crunch! Devro slams his shin into Nato's torso.
Devro lands a head kick!
Nato looks to land a body kick but Devro moved away.

Nato scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Devro attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Devro motions for Nato to come forward. Devro throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Devro.
Devro throws a head kick but Nato moves out of range.

Nato rushes Devro and presses him up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Nato pulls guard successfully.

Nato looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Nato working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Devro doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Devro manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Devro has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Nato has his foot on Devro's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Devro works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nato had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Devro defends it easily.
Nato wants to sweep here but Devro controlling him for the moment.
Nato is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Devro wants to control from the top but Nato keeps moving.

Nato is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nato pushes a forearm under Devro's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Devro is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
