PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johan Joestar (ranked 1806 p4p, 1727 weight class) and Jock Strap (ranked 70 p4p, 66 weight class). Joestar comes into the arena with Coda - Bloody Stream blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johan Joestar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jock Strap!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strap misses with a kick to the body
and Joestar counters with a nice body kick.
Strap lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Strap avoids the body shot from Joestar.
A low kick from Strap misses
and Joestar counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Joestar throws a jab when Strap was well out of range.
Joestar throws a lazy right hand but Strap sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Strap misses with a looping right.
Joestar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Strap uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Strap tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Joestar was well out of range. Poor timing from Strap.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Joestar connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Strap momentarily.

It looks like Jock Strap has been cut.
Strap thows a body kick. Joestar tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Joestar takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joestar slips under a jab from Strap.

Strap misses with the body kick
enabling Joestar to counter with a crisp jab.
Joestar walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Strap connects with a good right hand that stumbles Joestar. Joestar circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Jock Strap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joestar defending well as Strap loads up on a big left hand.
Strap looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Joestar keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Strap.
A thudding body kick lands there by Strap!
Joestar connects with a body shot that sends Strap's belly button to the back.
Joestar needs to keep his hands up - Strap had a free shot at his head there.
Strap throws a poor cross that misses
and Joestar counters with a huge head kick that drops Strap! The ref dives in to stop the fight and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Johan Joestar!
Johan Joestar tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
