The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mc Fatten has closed the distance and engaged Thomas in a clinch.
Thomas tries to break the clinch but Mc Fatten is controlling the position.

Thomas wants to get back to striking at distance but Mc Fatten won't allow it.

Mc Fatten clinches up against the cage.
Thomas lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
It looks like Shemus Mc Fatten has been cut.

Thomas doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Rocky Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mc Fatten avoids a kick to the body.
Thomas fails with an attempt to clinch.
Thomas drops his shoulder and cracks Mc Fatten with a huge uppercut! Mc Fatten goes down! Can Thomas finish him?
That has opened up Shemus Mc Fatten's cut even more.
Thomas could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mc Fatten controls Thomas momentarily but Thomas frees himself.

Thomas lands a couple of elbows.
Shemus Mc Fatten's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Shemus Mc Fatten's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
