Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Tungsten (ranked 1492 p4p, 1848 weight class) and Balal Lama (ranked 196 p4p, 236 weight class). Tungsten comes to the cage accompanied by Cover of The Rolling Stone by Dr. Hook. The key to victory for Terry Tungsten has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terry Tungsten!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Balal Lama!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Tungsten.
Lama moves away from the strike by Tungsten.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Lama lands a nice shot to the body.
Tungsten throws a hook to the side of Lama's head but Lama sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Lama tries a head kick but it misses.
Tungsten tries to bum rush Lama with a series of wild strikes but Lama uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lama slips a straight right by Tungsten.

Lama uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tungsten.

Lama connects with a single shot there.
Tungsten tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lama manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lama looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tungsten has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lama is on him like a limpet, forcing Tungsten back against the cage.

Lama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Tungsten seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Lama displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Tungsten throws out the jab.
Tungsten ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lama throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tungsten.
Tungsten looks to land a combination but Lama avoids it well.
Tungsten throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Lama is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Lama shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Tungsten scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Lama manages to mount him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lama tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Tungsten keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Tungsten tries to hold on but Lama postures up.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lama working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Lama throws some wild stikes that Tungsten manages to avoid easily.
Poor strikes thrown by Lama there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tungsten takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Lama's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
