Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Valerio Bartoli (ranked 1030 p4p, 1347 weight class) and J Gay G (ranked 112 p4p, 151 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 16 - 2, fighting out of New York, Valerio Bartoli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, J Gay G!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bartoli lands with a hook. Gay G tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Bartoli misses with a low kick as Gay G jumps back.
Gay G lands with a nice body punch.
Bartoli lands with a good body shot.
Bartoli scores with a shot to the body.
Bartoli tries a low kick but Gay G avoids it.
Gay G drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bartoli defends it well.
Bartoli looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gay G cracks Bartoli with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Gay G swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bartoli throws a body shot but no joy.

Gay G throws a sloppy head kick and Bartoli moves out of range easily.

Gay G just misses with a punch to the body.
Bartoli was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Bartoli lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Gay G fails to land the takedown.
Bartoli takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Gay G changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

and Bartoli counters with a right hand to the body.
Valerio Bartoli is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bartoli connects with a right hand. Gay G shakes it off.
Bartoli takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Bartoli moves out of range of the strikes.
Bartoli throws a lazy right hand but Gay G sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gay G tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bartoli was well out of range. Poor timing from Gay G.
Bartoli dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gay G. That did some damage!

Bartoli lands with a shot to the body.
Gay G cracks Bartoli with a good jab.
Gay G lands a really nice looking cross but Bartoli seems unphased.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Bartoli works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gay G has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.

A nice inside leg kick there by Bartoli. That's going to slow Gay G down.
Gay G on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Gay G fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Bartoli was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Gay G is still on wobbly legs! Can Bartoli finish him?
Bartoli lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Gay G falls backwards - clearly groggy! Bartoli dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

In his post fight interview, Valerio Bartoli started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
