The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ariitaia is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hughes.
Gordon Ariitaia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hughes closes the distance and clinches up with Ariitaia, looking for a takedown. Hughes pushes Ariitaia against the cage but Ariitaia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hughes ducks under a wild hook from Ariitaia.
Hughes swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Ariitaia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hughes manages to avoid it.
