Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gillechriosd McCoy (ranked 366 p4p, 159 weight class) and Albert Einstein (ranked 51 p4p, 24 weight class). Albert Einstein has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gillechriosd McCoy!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Einstein!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCoy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Einstein.
McCoy looks to throw the jab but Einstein is out of range.
And Einstein tries to counter it with a takedown but McCoy pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Einstein jabs McCoy to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Einstein tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McCoy swivels and escapes.
McCoy uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Einstein.
Einstein moves out of range as McCoy strikes.
Einstein walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McCoy throws a jab when Einstein was well out of range.

Einstein's coach down at Monkey Magic was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Einstein's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Einstein throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Einstein connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McCoy's hands.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Einstein.
It looked like McCoy wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Einstein takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
McCoy throws a lazy right hand but Einstein sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gillechriosd McCoy is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Einstein slips under a jab.
Einstein smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
McCoy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Einstein. Einstein circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

We've been told by McCoy's head coaches at Zombie MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Einstein looks to throw the jab but McCoy is out of range.
Einstein connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Gillechriosd McCoy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and McCoy counters with a stiff right hand.
McCoy swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Einstein counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
McCoy is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCoy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Einstein is working away from the top position though.
Einstein not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Einstein connects with a nice short shot to McCoy's temple.
McCoy makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McCoy.
Einstein lands a couple of decent looking shots.

McCoy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Einstein's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Einstein holds on and takes a little breather.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Einstein is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Gillechriosd McCoy will probably get the nod.

Einstein doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McCoy lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
McCoy slips under a jab from Einstein.
McCoy throws a good cross that connects.
McCoy lands a slapping body shot.
McCoy moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
McCoy is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Nice uppercut lands for McCoy. That snapped Einstein's head back.
McCoy darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Einstein seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Einstein is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! McCoy is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Albert Einstein! Albert Einstein retains his lightweight title!
