The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boganda misses with a takedown
letting Magnusson counter with a right hand.
Boganda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Magnusson counters with a nice uppercut.

and Magnusson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Marty Magnusson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Barthelemy Boganda.

and Magnusson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Boganda is working for takedown but Magnusson is calmly controlling the position for now.

Boganda turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Boganda manages to end up in side control.
Magnusson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Magnusson tries to get out of the position.

Boganda is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Magnusson has escaped the position, nice work there.
Boganda swings around for an armbar but Magnusson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Boganda's guard.

Boganda had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Magnusson defends it easily.

Magnusson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Boganda is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Magnusson has his hands clasped together but Boganda extends and breaks Magnusson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Boganda.

A relieved looking Barthelemy Boganda thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
