Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mehdi Kanaani (ranked 1805 p4p, 3641 weight class) and Vic Barnes (ranked 63 p4p, 140 weight class). Kanaani's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg - Nuthin' But A G Thang. Mehdi Kanaani has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mehdi Kanaani!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vic Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes throws a front kick aimed at Kanaani's knee but Kanaani avoids it well.
An inside leg kick from Barnes misses.
Barnes uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kanaani.
Kanaani throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barnes's waist but Barnes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kanaani off to one side.
Barnes looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Kanaani throws a lazy uppercut
and Barnes counters with a right hand to the body.
Kanaani misses with a head kick.
No joy there for Barnes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barnes works over Kanaani's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Mehdi Kanaani has been cut.
Kanaani misses with a combination
and Barnes counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kanaani throws a series of punches but Barnes avoids them all with ease.
Barnes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kanaani fails with a takedown attempt.
Barnes is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kanaani tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Kanaani slips a straight right by Barnes.
Kanaani moves into range and clinches up with Barnes.
Barnes throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Kanaani lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Barnes backwards.
Kanaani breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Mehdi Kanaani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barnes connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kanaani. Kanaani circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The fighters circling - Kanaani throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Barnes dodges the punch combination from Kanaani.
A little jabbing left from Barnes on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Kanaani misses with a straight left.
Barnes thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kanaani if he has to take too many more of those.
Barnes throws a front kick that sends Kanaani stumbling back into the cage.
Kanaani is breathing heavily.
Kanaani shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Barnes pinned against the cage. Barnes gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mehdi Kanaani. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Barnes throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Kanaani cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kanaani throws a sloppy head kick
and Barnes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mehdi Kanaani's cut is getting worse.
Kanaani shoots in for a takedown but Barnes shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Barnes lands a big right hand that sends Kanaani crashing to the mat! Barnes stays standing though and waves Kanaani back to his feet!
Kanaani is rocked!
Barnes flashes Kanaani a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Kanaani's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Kanaani crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Barnes punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Vic Barnes!
