The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferguson blocks a jab.
Silva listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Silva looks to score with a jab to the body but Ferguson is just out of range.
Ferguson was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Ferguson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Silva cracks a nice hook into Ferguson's ribs.
Silva connects with a body shot.
Silva takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Silva misses with a right hand
enabling Ferguson to counter with a crisp jab.
Ferguson cracks Silva with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ferguson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Silva to stand back up!
Silva is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ferguson lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Silva up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ferguson from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Silva's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Khabib Ferguson!
Khabib Ferguson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
